Default PvP suggestion

Anet should allow pvpers to keep track of how much damage they have done per match or how much they have healed per match. And how many total kills they gotten on their character or perhaps account. I'm sure this could of been suggested before, but I searched and didn't find it. Anyhow, in every rpg type game I've played that has pvp. It has allowed the player to keep score of how effective or how many kills they have gotten. It would be nice to see this in GW.

Guild Wars is different from many RPG's. Besides, that would be too much trouble to go to for something that isn't of any use...kills you have gotten in a match and damage you have done in a match or healed hit points are not necessarily an accurate reading of what you have done for that match. Guild wars is a team game (well...sorta, in GvG still anyway), and every character that you implement into a build has a different purpose, but they all share one common goal: to win. For example: you can't keep track of efficiency in shutting down melee opponents or in other cases enemy spellcasters and keeping track of kills is totally irrelevant because the game would probably be forced to count the last dmg applied, which could be a -3 wand strike, etc. It also takes team effort to kill an opponent, not only because it is important that your team is staying alive while applying pressure to enemy monks and spike targets if needed, pending on the build. And what about the flag runner in gvg? that's gotta be some interesting stats (you know what I mean by that).

/not signed.

Interesting Idea for most games, but for gw I would rather them not go so far when it's other things that need updating (e.g. bugs and certain maps *cough*warriors.)

Of course its a team game, I believe any game where your in a party pvping is team oriented. Yes everyone has a common goal and that is to win and note how you said common. Meaning there can be much more. Because right now everything in GW is to common i.e everyone is basically the same. Just like in team sports everyone has different stats and it doesn't effect their team effort to win. So I don't see the problem. They could easily implement a stat tracker of any aspect in GW like flag running, shutting down enemies etc. I just named a few off hand.

Right on the money. Such statistics would be pretty useless, because there is no way to quantify what you do during a PvP match.

If it was implemented, it'd be for aesthetic/vanity reasons only (which is exactly what this game needs, more wammos preening themselves ). Very little information would actually be useful.

Actually, I'd like something like this implemented in a kind of different way. Have a huge chart you can view after battle with Total damage done, Total damage received, Enemies killed, Deaths suffered, Npcs killed, Npcs Lost, Morale boosts. Could maybe even be expanded with times you blocked/evaded and attack, got your attacks blocked/evaded, number of times you/enemy suffered from a hex/condition, etc.
